Useing the saw my high school shop class where it has been proving it self. Used the manual for my safety hand-out and test.
Have purchased many Skil tools now, for my class and they all have proven to be an exceptional value. I am able to expand my student's exposture to more tools/projects at less than half the retail cost! That leaves me with more money for wood-glue-screws-stain-ect....

with my reconditioned unit the front guard is nearly impossible to see thru to see my mark, but looking from the side works well for me also as i like to cut on one side of the line or the other,depending....... . otherwise this saw does all that i need it to do for my projects at the house as well as the handyman jobs that i do. after the adjustments were made its cutting perfectly, just do what the manual says to get everything set just right. i like it a lot. great for the price.

One of the easiest to use saws I have ever owned.
I have cut a great deal of wood since I bought this miter saw and the blade has really held up and is still cutting fine. The saw is well constructed and the stops are right on. No problems and expect this saw to give me a lot of years of use.
