The Skill Band saw was easy to set up and easy to use. The laser light provides the perfect guide to my cuts. It may be only a table top but it does the job of a big band saw. I recommend this saw to anyone that needs to make wood cutting easier and accurate.

Had to return the first one because of the reset button needed to be reset every time I turned on the band saw, will not side saw as advertised only rip, had no problem with cpo for return.

So far, I have only done test cuts on scrap and had no difficulty. It took about 45 minutes to set the machine up and set all the adjustments. I have so far only used the 1/4" wide blade and had no difficulty with its tracking true on the center of the wheels. Great machine for the price.

I use this machine for all types of wood working. One of the big problems this machine has is aligning the blade guide. Using set pins instead of bearings it a major fault. They are in use because of the company feel it can same a few pennies. Another area of concern is replacing the blade. This one came off several times while trying to get the alignment pins adjusted properly. These adjustment pins are very hard to use because of where the adjustment tightening screws are located. Trying to get the pins out I had to use a jewelers file to smooth the pins as who ever put them in so tightly it left gouge marks in the pin causing it not to come out. I feel that as long as I have this machine I will have trouble when it comes to changing the blade.

I've always wanted a band saw but could hardly justify it. I had purchased a few other power tools in the past and thought I would give this a spin.
Unit looks brand new arrived quick after ordering. After reading the owner's operators manual and making some slight adjustment's to the blade I fired her up and she works like a charm as long as you use it for the speed and lumber size it was meant for.
The fence is Ok but nothing I would trust without using a square to square it up with the blade. This is my second or 3rd purchase and so far I have not been disappointed. I've seen new tools straight from a box that did'nt look this good.
