Dissapointed in the life of battery, when I get ready to do a project, the battery power is low or dead. Replacement battery is equal to or more than the cost of buying a new drill!

Short shelf life. Looses power when not in use.Short battery useage life. I have an older skil cordless that is much stronger. It's a 14.4 high performance. Battery # is 92994 but I cannot find them anywhere.

purchased the drill w/two battery packs approx sept 2005. no problems, did the work i was needing.

now, neither battery will take a charge jan 2009. a new battery cost more than i probably paid for the whole thing in 2005. got my money's worth but will buy another drill not just a battery

The two batteries that came with the drill burned out rather quickly. The battery I reorder of course - by poor design - is not compatible with the new battery - even though the battery is for the same drill.

Quality design and really well thought out there people.
