I have 5 different brands of cordless drills and like this one the best. I already had one like it and looked to find another one. I like to have 3 drills to use on a job. One with drill, one with screwdriver and one with tapering bit. I do mostly woodworking. This is light weight and the battery lasts a long time.

I purchased this drill prior to starting a horse shelter. Built a 12 x 12, then added 12 x 12, then added 24 x 12. My previous drill was the same drill, after almost completing the roof, it fell to the ground. Still worked a while. I ordered this drill to replace it and completed the outside. Both drills are the same. I like that you can work for hours without recharge, and it has ample power.

I USE THIS DRILL IN MY HOME WORKSHOP. I HAVE NOT USED IT AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE TO, BUT THE DRILL HAS PERFORMED WELL IN EVERY TASK SO FAR. INITIAL BATTERY CHARGE WAS FAST.

I WILL USE DRILL PUTTING IN A NEW WOOD DECK, PLUS OTHER SMALL JOBS AROUND THE HOUSE. THE DRILL IS SMALLER AND LIGHTED THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, but is very powerful.I wish this drill had a screwdiver bit holder.

This cordless drill is just a tiny step away from being perfect! The weight is ideal, slightly lighter than a 9.6V NiCD based drill, with vastly more power, and an even more compact body. This Skil feels ideal in the hand, with some of the best feeling rubber grips anywhere, and perfectly balanced. All controls operate with precision and are logically placed. The battery life is just amazing, seems to be at least 10 times longer than my old 9.6V under the same usage. This drill has a lot of power. I really like how the battery doesn't self-discharge at all, and it's great how you can charge it without removing it from the drill - though you can also charge it separately. The LED light to illuminate the bit works great, and the battery charge and direction lights are very useful.

The only problems are really just minor quibbles. There is no bit holder on the body of the drill - that's the first time I have seen a cordless drill without such a holder in years. Also, there's a slight delay between fully depressing the trigger and startup of the motor. It's only about 1/3 of a second, and you get used to it. These tiny problems are easy to live with weighed against the exceptional other qualities.

It is really easy to use. Can make bit changes quickly without effort. Lithium battery is compact & light; I hope it gives a longer life than the old NiCad batteries.

Got a preowned version. Looks like new except marked as refurbed. They stamped that into the plastic. Love the light. It is very helpful and this thing is suprisingly lightweight. Used it to mount an bracket for a big LCD tv. Drill did not even flinch while drilling through studs. Used to have a B&D. Never again.

I am a homeowner and I enjoy doing projects and repairs myself like rebuilding our deck. This drill is a great tool for me. If I were a professional carpenter, I would probably move up to the next size but this drill can and will do the job. It just might not last as long for a pro as the next size up.

I love the drill. The light concept is brilliant.
As a 71 year old I need all the help I can get seeing small things and the light makes it 10 times easier. When I first got it I did not understand how to connect drill to charger so it went dead and I thought it was NG. Then it snapped in and began charging and all was right with the world. I have shown it to several pros working in my home and they loved it as well. The lithium battery makes it extremely light weight and powerful as well. I particularly like the charge retention. It is so much better than NiCad or NiMH batteries. Great Tool!

I have had many cordless and this is rated now as one of the best for the price and workablity. I would buy another as time is needed for me.

I use this tool for building maintenance and find the battery life very short. Although reconditioned the drill does not have enough power to complete drilling 4 holes into a steel door to mount a sliding bolt lock. I had to switch batteries and both were out of power prior to the completion

it is a little underpowered for an 18V my dewalts will torque your arm off. But the dewalts are heavier the this one. I have bought 5 for our work with 3 being new 2 being reconditioned and 1 of the Reconditioned froze up and had to be replaced. We ues them for assembly are drilling in plastic. This is not one I would suggest for a construction site. The only problem with it is you can only get one battery if you buy a drill and you cant buy extra batteries. I do not know what skill is thinking. This is a pretty tough light weight all around tool. for the price it is hard to beat.

I like charging the battery without removing the battery pack from drill motor.
Love the LED light right where you need it.
