I use it for shaping wood objects. It's great for hogging wood off the workpiece quickly, especially with the very aggressive grit supplied. I am having a hard time finding replacement belts locally, though. All available are too short. I find I have to use carpet tape to get the discs to stay in place. The modern Velcro type attachment really does have its advantages.

I'm retired. I now build toys for a pre-school,
yard figures, bird houses and bird feeders. I'm
very happy that it is small enough to leave set up
and yet strong enough to do the work I desire.
I cut a lot of shapes and I use it to smooth out
many round cuts.

Good price. Runs fine. Can't beat it with a stick! CPO's image suffers because it arrived in filthy condition. But functionally like new.
