I have used Skil before and the brand is a good buy for the buck. I bought two sanders, reason being different grit. The cord is good length, the cushioned grips are nicely effective. Speed is good. These sanders are light to use and that means for me - no fatigue. Great buy

Bought this so I could refinish the park bench and the doghouse. Finished the bench. WOW! This saved me tons of time and sweat. Had alot of sawdust, but what do you expect. (Nothing but a pro dust collecter will stop that.)

Look. If you need to put 10 hours a day into belt sanding raw wood picnic tables or finishing the hull on your sailboat, you will be disappointed. This is a light/medium-duty, narrow-width, power screamer, designed for deep sanding refinishing projects, rounding edges freehand and keeping your shop clean.

The price is right, the belts are infinitely available (sometimes at substantial discounts)AND, if you have basic skills (keep it moving at all times) the results are excellent!

Would I buy it again? Yes!

Honestly, I purchased this for one reason; to sand the outside of 4 large wine casks to convert into planters for dwarf trees. Talk about a test for the equipment!!! Worked like a charm with heavy duty sand paper.

This is a great tool for the price. I replaced an older Sears unit with this one. No comparison, this thing is so much nicer.

Its powerful, fits my hand nice, easy to change the belt. For my home use this thing works great at a reasonable price.
