I liked the produst , but was VERY upset that before I could use the NEW saw I had to buy BLADES for it , They DIDN't EVEN Sent ONE BLADE along with the new saw

I was looking for an inexpensive tool to give to my son who needs one to make frames to stretch canvas over. Well, it met those expectations, but when it came I saw that it was more powerful than my Bosch, and it had laser guide and scrolling abilities that my [$]Bosch doesn't. I was tempted to give my son the Bosch and keep the Skil, but he really needs the scrolling feature. I'M JEALOUS!!

This arrived on time in excellent condition. The only problems were adjusting the foot for bevel. Yes, it is a toolless operation but... First of all I thought the directions were a little confusing. They were perfect after I finally figured out how to do it but it took awhile. As a retired engineer and service writer, I can appreciate what the poor guy who wrote the thing went through though. Not a real biggie. The other realllly small issue was that the laser won't quite center on the blade, shoots just a tad to the left. The beam is wide enough to keep you on the line though. I didn't try to force the adjustment because the instructions warn that the adjustment mechanism isn't robust enough to take a lot of abuse. The accuracy is more than adequate for a jig saw. If one needs more accuracy, they need to consider a different tool.

This is a great jig saw. It has many or more features than most higher priced jig saws. The warranty is as good as any other makes. The only mood point, in my mind is that, it should come with at least one blade.

I use it in my workshop cutting out wooden doll patterns and other woodworking projects that I tackle. It's a litle heavy for me (I have problems with my hands grasping items for a long period of time) but it works wonderful otherwise.

The lighting and laser blade guide is great. It is heavy, and somewhat cumbersome to make changes other than the blade. Adjusting for bevel cuts is more difficult than most jigsaws. The blade does track very true and is extremely easy to change, which is the reason I got rid of my "some other brand" jigsaw. It is rugged, powerful and feature loaded - which is why it's heavy - overall a very good jigsaw.

THIS IS A GOOD SAW IF THAT'S ALL YOU WANT TO USE IT FAR. FORGET THE SCROLL KNOB ON TOP. IT'S NOT THE TROUBLE TO USE THIS FEATURE. HARD TO USE NOT ACCURATE.

I first saw this one on "Cool Tools" a DIY show and thought the scrolling feature and the laser guide were awesome. I figured it would be pricey, but not so. Reasonably priced new and even a better deal as re-conditioned. I could not tell my saw from new and it works perfectly. I was a little leery of the brand as I had one before that did not seem to want to hold the blades tightly, but not this baby. Likely the last saw you will ever need. I'm an avid DIY'er, but I think this saw would work well for the professional as well. It's that good.

When you buy this saw that is what you get. So after I bought some blades I was able to try it. Worked well with a few small projects but had some trouble in getting the tension right on the foot to lock it in place in any of the 5 positions. Even when the pin is in the proper slot the foot is a bit loose. Wish it had some documentation with it.
