My GrandFather was a General Contractor, His Crews used Skil Tools. My Father was a Respected Union Commercial GC and Home Builder, He swore by Skil Tools. As a Contractor's Son, I grew up using those same Skil Tools and I still do. Skil Tools are a Family Tradition and My 4 Sons are keeping it alive. Purchased this saw "factory-reconditioned," but the only thing about it that seemed different from new was the reconditioned tag and a little dust. Have used it to build a small workbench, and this summer to re-build my nephew's deck. It works every bit as well as highly rated saws costing much more-I am of slight build, but found I could handle it with ease, and appreciated its power and ease of adjustment. As a plus, it makes that same screeching Skilsaw sound I grew up loving whenever my Dad and the neighbors would get together to build something big. Highly recommended, especially at this price.

This is not a true worm-drive saw, it only claims to have the handle style of a worm drive saw.
