tablesaw for the space limited
had this saw for 3 months now, a little tweaking was needed (since I am an accuracy nut), but it worked fine out of the box. safety features are great, with the riving knife as a standard piece.
1. good for rip and crosscuts (with original blade)
2. safety features are top in class
3. gravity-rise stand works as it should
4. fence and marking is pretty accurate
5. adjustments are easy and well designed

1. dust collection (with the open type blade cover, it spews out chips and dusts towards the operator, though I was told it was great in a forum and had hurricane like vacuum speeds, I find it lacking)
2. the miter gauge had a terribly large play and wobbled enough to not depend on it. others have good results. best to check when possible

Easy to use, easy to attach guard and paws and NO TOOLS NECESSARY!
The saw is better than I expected. Everything was in perfect alignment. The blade elevates and tilts easily. I especially like the table extension. The lock handle is very positive so I am sure it is locked down before I make my cuts. My splurge was the digital carriage. It is so accurate, I am glad I bought it. The smart guard is a great idea and because it is so easy to install, (no tools), I put it on when needed. I can always find it because it stores right on the saw.
I like the gravity rise stand idea, but after setting it up, I find it has such a large footprint, it's awkward to get around. I wish I had bought the standard stand.

I find this saw to be very effective in a small shop environment. when folded up it stores against the wall taking up little space. when in use it does a very good job. I find the fence very smooth and accurate.I added the DC10 digital fence readout which makes setting up a snap. The only cons are with the dust collection, even hooked up to a vac, it is barely adequite, and there is a lot of dust in the air.

Could be great, but....................
Bought two days ago. Planned on being happy but i am not. Awesome features, awesome stand. Can not get the blade to align with the table, no matter what I do. Followed directions, tried different blades. Am taking the forward and aft mounts into work to slot the mount holes alittle so I'll get the adjustment clearance I need to straiten it out. This shouldn't be needed on a 600 dollar saw. If it wasn't for this, I would give it 5 stairs.

As Good As I'd Hoped!
After years of using "the other guys" table saws, I finally broke down and got one. Everyone's saw had some good features and some bad but this one has all the good features. Cool! Its a great saw and convenient with the easy storage wheeled carrier. Packs up and goes where I need to be. Its like a table saw on it's own hand truck.

Great Saw
Out of the box no adjustments were necessary. The gravity rise stand is well thought out and very easy to use. Glad to see that they eliminated the air filled tires and replaced them with solid tires. I have added the left and rear outfeed supports which are very useful. The only negative I can see is the miter gauge is a little sloppy and it will be my only upgrade. It cuts very good and has good power running a 6" dado.

Great at first, but...
Everything worked great when I purchased it. Solid and accurate out of the box. I have had it for a couple of years now, and the whole thing is falling apart. The steel guide on the fence eventually wears out the aluminum guide at the back of the saw, keeping the fencing from sliding like it should, and not allowing the fence to run true to the blade.

The stainless steel rods that the motor rides up and down on wear out the aluminum housing that they are placed in, causing the height adjustment to be unusable, and takes accuracy down to unacceptable levels.

The aluminum table has grooves worn into it from cutting lumber on it.

I was going to have it fixed, but the cost was so high I decided against it, and when I went to pick it up, it was completely disassembled, the parts thrown in boxes, and they refused to reassemble it without replacing the worn parts.

For the money, I was not expecting to buy a disposable product, which is what this is.

How well does the dust collection work if attached to a shop vac while cutting?
Dave on Aug 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Great, my issue with the saw is when I rip 2x4's, it gets the job done but
barely, it will pop my breakers at job sites. I would not have purchased
had I known.
Is the digital gauge readout still available for the Bosch 4100 series table saw?
Gerald on Jul 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No digital readout with this saw, but honestly this saw is the best saw i
I have used!
This message was sent from my iPhone so I apologize for any spelling errors.
why does my bosch 4000 table saw stutter before the blade spins?
Ron on Mar 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Mine doesn't and yours shouldn't. If it actually cavitates before the
blade begins to turn then a belt pulley adjustment is required. If while
the motor ramps up then the saw blade is slightly out of alignment. My
best guess based on your description.
Is the only difference between this model and the DG model the digital gauge readout? Are there any other features that separate them?
Rich on Aug 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: You are correct, the only difference is the DG model has a digital gauge readout while this one does not.

does the stand cone with the reconditioned unit pricing @ $449.00
kried3 on Mar 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the stand does come with the reconditioned unit.
Our company owns one of these saws with wheeled stand. I've looked all over the net for a replacement saw for the same stand. It is not diffficult to find saw and stand together for about $600. The stand itself is available for around $200. Why isn't the saw available separately for around $400?
Joe on Jan 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Bosch is only offering the 2 items as a kit at this time.
