Flexible and Functional - The Bosch RH540M 1-9/16 In. SDS-max Combination Hammer delivers 6.1 Ft.-Lbs. of impact energy, making it the hardest hitting and fastest drilling rotary hammer in its class. Delivering 38 percent more impact energy than previous generations and up to 20 percent more than other combo rotary hammers in its class, it has a no-load 170 to 340 RPM, while delivering 1,200 to 2,750 blows per minute. This tool easily handles block or tile and drills through tough materials but weighs just over 15 Lbs. and is only 19 In. in length.
SDS-max and Integral Clutch Bring Convenience - Bosch's SDS-max allows for tool-free and one-handed bit changes, making the combo hammer even more versatile. The operator twists the bit and pushes it until it clicks into place and locks automatically, and it's good to go. The system also provides dust protection and a maximum impact energy transfer rate. The tool's integral clutch disengages the torque transmission if the bit gets into a bind situation, providing protection for the tool and less fatigue for the operator. Constant electronics provide soft start and maintain constant speed under load – this also protects against an overload situation.
Features:
  • Tool-free bit changes with automatic bit locking, dust protection and maximum impact energy transfer rate
  • Best-in-class impact energy of 6.1 ft-lbs. provides maximum productivity in all day drilling and chiseling applications
  • Combination dual mode selector knob allows users to select between hammer drilling, chiseling only and the Vario-Lock function
  • Vario-Lock positioning rotates and locks chisel into 12 different positions to optimize working angle
  • Variable-speed dial for controlled drilling and chiseling applications
Includes:
  • 12 Amp 1-9/16 in. SDS-Max Combination Rotary Hammer - RH540M
  • Auxiliary Handle - 2602025062

Excellent hammer
I fully reviewed this hammer against dewalt and milwaukee and found it to be the best hammer out there. I've used it for a month and probably drilled 150 holes and so far no issues

Exceeded my expectations!
This Bosch hammer drill was so sweet to use, comfortable, with minimal vibration providing me with absolute control while perfectly drilling 1/2" holes in 8" concrete for pedestals. No pressure other than the weight of the tool, was needed. All I had to do was point, set and drill. It was so smooth I could do this all day if need be. This tool has exceeded my expectations. Great tool. Thanks Bosch!

Cuts like a knife.
I was needing to add water, sewage, and electrical stub outs to a shop that had an old concrete foundation. I found some Bosch core bits that would work. So, i purchased this SDS-max drill. IT drill easily through the concrete. I really like the clutch on it. If the bit catches it does not rip you arm off. Also the ability to use a variety of chisels make it even more functional and vestal. The case is perfect for me as it also holds a number of bits and chisels.

Toughest I have used
I have used alot of demolition/hammer drills in the 20+ years I have been in the construction trade and my experience is that Bosch makes some of the best in the market. I have used alot of different brands and Bosch has yet to disappoint me. As a rule of thumb I stick with what works best and do not plan to switch from bosch when it comes to demo hammers.
